pc slow start up

we had a pc today which had a corruption in internet explore 6 so we unistalled it and re-inistalled it. and the pc was taking too long to start up so we stoped and remove a few applications which was crashing and makiing the pc slow. and then we run two anti-virus scans avg and adware -se and there was 550 viruses found and now the pc seems staple
